What's Next at COT?

The next opera in COT's season of adventure is A Coffin In Egypt based on the play by award-winning writer Horton Foote, composed by Ricky Ian Gordon and libretto by Leonard Foglia. Celebrated mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade stars in this tour-de-force portrayal of 90-year-old grand dame Myrtle Bledsoe living alone in Egypt, Texas. Left with only her memories of missed opportunities, broken dreams, and a family of liars and murders, Myrtle searches in the shadows for forgiveness begs the question: can you live a life without regret?
